It's September. When the hell did that happen?

This year marks my first full year of teaching, and already there are advantages. For example, I have a room... Trust me, this is significant. And so far, not one 7-year-old has told me to "suck it." Obviously I left the hood... but it turns out I might miss those little buggers.

Here the kids look at me. What are they looking for... Is my fly down? Or maybe I'm wearing the peanut butter I had for breakfast, directly out of the jar (don't judge me... It seemed like a better option than salsa. I mean, who has time for things like groceries). Either way, they are looking, and I have no idea what to say... So instead I ask them to "show five" and buy myself 20 seconds of planning time...

We are here together. Everyday. Together. I know I'll learn... And, if I can keep myself together, so will they.

Welcome to our live's in Room 1123, now please have a seat.

Until soon,

Ms. H
